Who is responsible for the election process?
The Electoral Commission of South Australia (ECSA) is an independent agency and aims to ensure that demands for electoral services and participation in the democratic processes have been met fairly, honestly and within the law. The minister responsible is the Special Minister of State. ECSA provides professional and impartial electoral services for South Australians. (ECSA | About ECSA).
The ECSA website is the one-stop shop for carrying out a range of tasks related to the election from applying to nominate as a candidate to requesting postal voting form.

How was the Finniss electoral boundary decided?
The Electoral Districts Boundaries Commission (EDBC) was established in 1975 under an amendment to the Constitution Act 1934 (SA) to carry out periodic redistributions of the electoral boundaries of the State’s House of Assembly. (EDBC | About the EDBC).
The electoral boundary of Finniss covers mostly two council areas: Victor Harbor and the southern part of Alexandrina with a small portions in the District Council of Yankallilla. The boundaries are defined by the Electoral Districts Boundaries Commission (EDBC).
