In Australian Native Plants, John Wrigley and Murray Fagg devote a chapter to the techniques of propagating native Australian plants. The chapter is divided into seven propagation techniques including propagation by seed, cuttings, plant division, spores, grafting, tissue culture, and seed specific to orchids. Toogood, A (ed.) 1999, The Royal Horticultural Society: Propagating Plants, Dorling Kindersley, Sydney.
This book, reprinted in 2004, is devoted to propagating techniques for many plants grown for food, indoor use and for outdoor landscapes. The techniques are useful for general propagation as well as an alphabetical listing of plants in a given genus or species. This includes plant families which cover Australian natives and cultivars. For example, there is an entry for the propagation of the genus Olearia (Daisy Bush), an Australian native common to South Eastern Australia as well as Olearia macrodonta, a favourite grown in the United Kingdom.
