Parts, chapters and sections
The first and second editions of Native Eucalypts of South Australia cover a similar number of eucalypt species. Changes in nomenclature have occurred since the first edition. Species within the Corymbia family have been reclassified as members of the Eucalypt family. The treatment sections for each of the eucalypts has been updated as well.

About the Author
Nicolle was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and had an interest in eucalypts from his high school days. He completed his degree at Adelaide University and went on to do his PhD on a group of southern Australian mallees at Flinders University, South Australia, in 2008. With strong support from his father, he set up the Currency Creek Arboretum growing over 900 taxa of eucalypts. Most of the eucalypts in the plantation were grown from seed actually collected by Nicolle in the wild. He started publishing on eucalypts in the scientific literature in 1995, and has self-published reference books on Eucalypts of South Australia and Eucalypts of Victoria and Tasmania as field guides using his own photographs.
