Description
Published in 1988, Chasing rainbows in the rain, is an extension of previous efforts to catalogue the beginnings of European settlement in the Tookayerta Creek catchment, which is also known as the Mount Compass Area. Although Anne Riddle is attributed to its authorship, it is really a collaborative effort by many of the founding families recounting their intergenerational struggles to farm an infertile landscape. It is a recollection of the history as it unfolded from time immemorial, to Aboriginal occupation then to European colonisation.
